Overview

The Comai Lab is in the Department of Plant Biology and the UC Davis Genome Center.

We study how hybridization, chromosome number, and chromosome type affect gene regulation, development and genome evolution. Our principal model systems are potato, mint, camelina, Arabidopsis thaliana, and poplar.

Here is an overview of the different fields of research for the Comai Lab, as a poster that is currently displayed at the UC Davis Genome Center. This poster won 1st prize in the center’s poster competition in Oct 2024.
